I just wonder if the people writing stuff like this are aware of the hell they have created for themselves to inhabit and how absurd it all seems to those of us who grew up in world that made sense.

Ignoring the trainwreck she obviously already is, she's trying to indoctrinate some gay guy because she thinks he may be open to being trans. This is how that shit spreads. All it takes is that passive encouragement and constant suggestion of being trans and people start to believe their peers, or their friends, or their significant other. When they trust the people pushing these ideas and ideology, when life brings lifes problems they may start to blame their negative emotions and experiences on being "trans" because it's "confirming" what everyone has been saying all along.

Its insidious.

Edit: btw /r/egg_irl is the sickest place on reddit and Im sure their little discord servers are worse. Its the most blatant, in-your-face grooming I've ever seen... and it's all done with a thin vineer of memes, anime, "You're SO valid!" and hugboxing. If we could magically dox every power-user there I bet we would find 9/10 of them are pedophiles.
