If that’s what you want to do with your body and you are an adult and it makes you happy and more able to participate in society and form community than you were previously, fine.

But you know you’re not a gay man. And you know you don’t belong in this competition any more than I do as a lesbian. You know you’re a colonizer when you call yourself a gay man and act as if there is no difference between you and actual gay men, regardless of whether you’re able to feel shame over it. And you know that your win only proves the extent of the colonization.

We’re not fooled and we’re not impressed. You’re not winning hearts and minds, only understandable animosity. Go start a competition for trans men who are attracted to men (I guess choose your own adventure as to how “men” is defined). Go forth and conquer that. I can honestly see a menstrual care company sponsoring one of these at this point.

More evidence that being/becoming trans is a lifestyle and career in itself in a way that being LGB never has been.
