This is kinda the same case with MTFs trying to take on the "butch aesthetic" or people that attempt to be "gender queer" (you aren't fooling anyone people will figure out your sex). If you really want to blend in you have to for the most part go for a very heavy shift to your opposite gender and that doesn't often work for most people. If you are man including a bit of masculinity or vice versa for a woman people will tell.

In large she wants to take on the femboy archetype fetish whatever. The problem is someone of the female sex just wearing female clothes you will just think girl. Without the context of being trans that is what I would assume she is. People into femboys or feminine men want to see the male physique specifically in a more fem styles and if you don't have that the appeal is quite different. Like not to get too explicit but there is a pretty important part of the body people in those spaces focus on as the primary point of attraction.

If you want to be feminine just be a girl. If you want to act GNC occasionally some bi dudes and straight guys won't care. If you want to even engage in a fantasy of being a dude you do you there are again guys that don't care or up for it but you aren't going to get actual gay men that way nor will you ever be able to. As again even for those that do like feminine guys you just can't pull it off because the main appeal again is the biological build in something superficial like gendered clothing. You can change the clothing, makeup, mannerisms whatever but you can't change flesh and blood.
