How does being demisexual differ from normal human sexual behavior? It took like 200 years of psychological and then sex research to recognize homosexuality in the way we do today. I'm pretty sure we can't even define demisexual (or asexual, for that matter) in a meaningful enough way to make it the subject of any serious study on human behavior.

It's because hookup culture has gotten people confused. Enjoying sex with strangers has been pushed by the media as being the norm, so women who don't like hookups wonder if they are demisexual. Demisexuality is normal female sexuality.
