is it weird to feel empowered by a badass female character if you're a dude?

Dead giveaway for being a transman: refering to yourself as "dude" all the time.

While I wouldn't really call it weird, what totally makes more sense is for a woman to feel empowered by a badass female character. Besides nowadays, if a boy would say they feel empowered by Samus, they would be called an egg and encouraged to transition.

Why not hold up the same standards to this person? The dude can become a girl again.

This is the equivalent of MtFs adopting valley girl mannerisms as a signifier of how they're a true and honest woman.

It just feels forced.

If I like a character I don't care about the sex. A lot of mvies I like to watch are like black and white old mistery movies, when the protagonist is always a man and the woman is just there to kiss him.
