Unfortunately, the media and those that run it decide what "representation" you get. In their eyes, your opinion means dick.

Rather than getting pissed about Hollywood being full of the shittiest people on earth, I'd suggest unplugging. It's likely to only get worse and avoiding TV will give you more time for gay sex.

If you enjoy reading one of the nice things about unplugging from modern drivel is that there is more cheap entertainment than you could possible ever consume in a lifetime from many non-shit eras, some in the not so distant past!

Exactly. Problem is I haven’t read a book in years but I want to get back into it. I could start with getting a book that is small.

A tip, start with a small book that you know that you have enjoyed in the past, but don't remember much of. This way, you'll get a positive re-introduction to reading!
