Panromantic at age 10 really? Why does a 10 year old even know what the hell that is.

My son, who is 9, was asking questions about being gay, lesbian, bisexual, I answered, then he told me his classmate is bisexual, alright cool. Then afterwards he said his classmate is animesexual, I asked what that means, he said it means she is only attracted to anime characters and that is really worrying to me.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. When I was 10 I remember "fancying" Marine Boy (ancient cartoon from the 70s) - it's probably completely normal and now he's just been encouraged to label himself. He'll move past it to attraction to actual humans!

I'm not worried about it at all for my kids, he isn't an animesexual it's his classmate he was talking about. I thought Jean Gray from the animated X-men was hot when I was a kid, there is no reason to call that a sexuality. And getting into the hundreds of different made up sexualities is not something kids need be thinking about.
