This is absolutely hideous. I hate modern art because it has no desire to be beautiful. My hometown spent millions of dollars to buy and install hideous "statues" that are of a similar style to this. Oh, and to do that, they tore up beautiful flower beds that they had clearly spent a ton of money making and cultivating over the years. Absolute atrocity.

It's perfect really. City politicians get praise for being woke, nobody can say how hideous it is without being called a bigot, and they don't have to pay anyone to maintain ugly industrial art that looks like it's recycled from old playground equipment, so it's delivering value to the taxpayer!

I'd think this art piece was interesting and cool (I like weird art) if there was no particular meaning attributed to the symbols but somehow these are meant to represent nonbinary gender identities?? Why do they need several? The binary transgender symbol isn't even there? What are the colors supposed to mean?

Except not every space can be made with everyone in mind. That mentality is absurd and creates more problem than it solves. A home for those with disabilities should be made with them in mind, a car for tall people should be made with them in mind, but a society should not be made with any group in mind, it should be made as general as possible, and extremists who can't accept that don't belong with the rest of society.

I usually don’t mind ugly art, when it’s well done. Propaganda art is always the worst kind of ugly, boring/predictable ugly. And no Venus sign obviously, you wouldn’t want to make Transgender women cry.
