Uhhh, looks like any rules you want are ok. Vampire gender is apparently self-ID. Twilight rules, Buffy rules, Anne Rice rules, take your pick. All vampire genders are valid, no one can question your vamp-gender, blah blah blah. (Or "bleh", I guess.)

I've never even gotten these people to explain to me what "experiencing a gender" even means in the first place. I think it means "putting on an act". If gender is performative, as some of them think, then this literally means putting on an act. Reducing the experiences of other people to stereotypes and displays while claiming equivalence in your experience of them. It really does feel like something a bunch of confused teenagers came up with.

One person I had this conversation with, who subscribed to the infinigenders of Tumblr, argued it's perfectly find that they ultimately just describe sexual preferences. To this day I have no idea if that person realized just how ridiculous that is as a concept. He was fine that "Demisexual" was something totally made up by a roleplaying teenager on a forum because "all genders are real". It's ridiculous.
