Agreed. They think that other person - the version of them that was their "assigned" sex had the problems. This new version, the adaptation of a new identity, leaves all the problems behind without having to face them. When people talk about not wanting to date them, it's like who can blame them? They're literally wearing their mental health problems, advertising their shit for everyone to see. Like, you want acceptance? Start with self-acceptance.

This. I think this point alone cuts right to the heart of the underlying issue that manifests itself as "transgenderism" in a majority of non-HSTS individuals.

Speaking from his own experiences, Walt Heyer attributes this explicitly to unresolved traumas that metastasize into identity dysregulation.
