A show so bad, he couldn't convince Rich Evans to finish reviewing it with him so he made this, haha.

Was it just me or did this one seem kind of... meh... compared to the other Plinkett reviews? Like they were so burned out on it they couldn't even make slaughtering it entertaining?

They already beat it to death as the series was airing. Not many jokes left.

The show has literally nothing going for it except the evil romulan wondertwin chick is hot. I did "watch it" but only because I discovered the "press 30 second skip when a character starts talking, if they are still talking and the scene hasn't changed skip again" technique of speed viewing.
Full disclosure, I actually LIKED Discovery. As stupid as it was the show had fun moments, high production quality, and a few interesting characters particularly Lorca in the first half of S1.

I get that response, but think of it like setting the mona lisa on fire. Isn't it something you would at least watch? Imagine how the production utterly squandered blockbuster cinema-tier budgets. And the disappointment of almost everyone involved at the final product yet they had to stay the course and pretend everything was great in public, mentally breaking themselves to do it.
One character was a tumbler audience stand in fat chick for gawds sake. Most of the side characters were obviously not taking it seriously, you can see the guy playing Sarek trying his damndest not to laugh the whole time. I was thoroughly entertained by TOS absurdism like klingon war-rape, mirror universe unabashed camp, and the brief forray into event-horizon horror movie territory in one of the first few eps.
To me, Discovery had enough dumb fun that the eye-rolling agenda pushing didnt drag it down. And really that is all I ask for.
