    I would argue the disparity is because a) Current Republican (anti-science) ideals simply can't withstand intellectually honest debate or the marketplace of ideas and b) Reddit and the internet simply has more liberals because that's simply the predominate demographic on the internet, particularly sites like reddit. In other words I don't think it's possible for you to balance it and you're not wrong, it's too easy to simply belittle rather than have an honest debate. But be real, there's not a lot of thought provoking discussions emitting from the Trump crowd right now, which I think is something separate and at odds with Conservatism.
