Obviously the author has no experience with Talmudic study. If he did, he would have better examples. My favorite example is the rabbinic principle that one must follow the majority (of the rabbis). If asked for the source, they will say Exodus 23:2 which actually says "Do not follow the majority to do evil". The Talmud removed "not" and "do evil" to produce "Do follow the majority". That is Talmudic logic, and is why I rejected Judaism.
