Gizmo squeaks when I pick him up. Pretty sure he ain't immune to fleas though. I imagine it was something with your cat's blood type.
I like spiders. Spiders are friends. I'll go out of my way to leave em be but I don't think I'd ever keep one as a pet.
Did you mean me as the cat lady or someone else? I just feel like I talk about my cat all the time.

Now that you say that, I remember hearing about Gizmo. I could not have told you who or where. What kind of cat is Gizmo, and what color?

Here's a very nice pic, with a fairly fresh molt. If they get irritated, they use their hind legs to scrape off and 'fling' hairs off the top of their abdomen. Too much and they develop a bald patch back there. They're very docile, and fun to handle.

Gizmo is a domestic shorthair, tuxedo coloration. There's several other photos in s/cats.
Wow, the females can live to 30, that's impressive. Are they affectionate or intelligent?

Nice whiskers!
They are not affectionate, and spend a lot of time doing nothing. But you can acclimate them to handling, and they do seem to like being gently stroked, and will walk around on your hands. Mine went up to almost three months before accepting food one time. That was the baby rat occasion. They usually eat crickets and such more regularly.
