Can confirm it’s suicide inducing. Working for a huge company as a programmer you have unreasonable project deadlines, working 24/7 to deliver that code. You have shitty women project managers hounding you on why the code wasn’t done last week. That’s probably just one project, you actually have about 8 concurrent projects.

Meanwhile the Stacy in marketing makes six figures “marketing” twitter posts.

yeah. and they fuck up at everything. they'll make estimates without consulting me and then I'll see the estimate and just think: "what the fuck is this? It's so off it's not even funny!" then when you ask them for more information on what you're building, it slowly unravels just how little they know how things work. they'll promise clients impossible crap with impossible deadlines and then dump that shit on your desk and it's all your responsibility now. what a load of shit. and then when everything's a mess you'll get emails and calls from your multiple bosses over how you're fucking up.

fuck this. i studied and wagecucked for years so I could just end up suffering here? it's all bullshit. we're not working towards bullshit.

Yes! This is so accurate! This is everything those shitty CNN articles don't tell you.

Especially the 'working 24/7' part. They are always shoving some deadline up your ass and its the worst planning ever. I don't know why but it seems like there's no such thing as a good project manager in IT. They all suck and are always demanding the re-release of something or are like "IF we don't get this out the door by X time, X is gonna have my ass."

Its the most infuriating thing on the planet.
