ER is a huge meme in the community and with any posts about him comes a lot of criticism about his actions, which I think is totally fair. We currently live in times where we make fun of mass shooters and I think that's perfectly fine.

Those multiple users are coming from Reddit, mostly from r/IncelTears and they don't understand satire or anything, obviously, they'll overexaggerate anything and say the most generic stuff like "That's really fucked up!" or smth like that, while it didn't show anything bad. The former subreddit on Reddit r/braincels was flooded with mass reports and mass false flags made by r/IncelTears, from posting CP to doxxing users of various incel sites. The same people who reported that post were responsible for DDOS attacks on your site (that's pretty obvious since DDOS occured when the incels' saidit sub was gaining traffic). These guys are bullies obsessed with inceldom and most of them (ironically) are incels themselves.

Also, were all of these accounts (that PM'ed you) with 0 posts and comments? If yes then it totally proves my point.

I disagree with this normalization. That isn't the "times we live in" that's just some messed up stuff certain people choose to engage in. Stuff we don't need here tbh.

I get it's a meme, but to a passer-by when they see "Elliot Roger Tribute" or "high score list" it is painting the actions of a murderer in a humorous and positive light. It's not funny, it's damaging. Damaging to your own mind, damaging to the community, damaging to the website.

I understand the false report problem, but the bigger problem is that it's breaking site rules.

And you need to understand that sometimes people post violent content with the INTENT of making this site look bad. People like yourself are supporting potential content that could be used as a weapon to shut this site down. Do you see this angle of it as well?

How did that post break the rules? How did it glorify violence? Is a guy dancing in his car (with GTA V clips of just driving a car) glorifying violence or advocating for violence? I checked the rules and it broke none, but I guess mass reports are way more important than actual reports with value.

Who wants to dance along with a mass murderer? I mean seriously?

It's advocating violence by making light of this person who murdered many. If I had a video enjoying Ted Bundy dancing and posted it everywhere, that's not really okay either. There are 8 billion people in this world, why focus on watching the actions of a mass murderer for entertainment, as if it's a joyful thing?

I'd say that at best, it's in the gray area and as a solution, I would recommend making it clear in the comments that it is indeed a joke to make fun of the guy.

Should be clear in the title, imo. But there is some gray area, I admit.

You are, by way of administrative choices, in complete agreement with the usage of terms such as nigger, faggot etc., on this website, and the subsequent normalization of the usage of these terms.

Perhaps you would like to normalize usage of these terms yourself, but I'm guessing it's out of a desire to pursue 'free speech'. But then, these terms are they not also similarly damaging?

Either you police it all, or you police it as you like. But don't pretend the 'rules' are applied evenly.
