Well yeah. Dupont and Monsanto constantly try to poison us.

DuPont settles lawsuits over leak of chemical used to make Teflon. (Reuters, 2017)

The poison found in everyone, even unborn babies – and who is responsible for it. (The Guardian, 2020)

Toxins, heavy metals, pesticides and glyphosate all found in school lunches. (MAA, September, 2022)

Study showed that 10 ppb of glyphosate had a toxic effect on the livers of fish. (BMC Genomics, 2015)

This is an interesting case because it makes you question the way bacteria truly affects us. A lot of people would say that eating raw food is bad but I've eaten a lot of raw meat and eggs the whole time and it has only given me extra energy in exchange. The Jesuits were involved in developing the Germ theory so it is not surprising:

Catholic Girolamo Fracastoro helped in the development of the Germ Theory of disease and was nominated by Pope Paul III as "medicus conductus et stipendiatus" of the Council of Trent.

Jesuit Athanasius Kircher had a role in developing the Germ Theory of disease.

It has made me very skeptical about the idea of a virus and how we get sick. The counter theory to that is that we get sick as a result of our own vitality, the quality of the air we breath, being poisoned or a change in the environment. I don't claim to know everything but I do lean much more towards vitality being the key factor in our health over everything being caused by bacteria or viruses.
