Yes. It is so absurd. If the person is, in a profile pic, androgynous and has a unisex name, it is helpful, but when an obvious man or woman does it, it is just blatant virtue signaling. Kamala Harris has them on her twitter bio, just in case anyone was confused. Such pandering.

But if the person is androgynous, I'd prefer them to write male/female than pronouns.
