I hate to say it, but knowing these people are totally enmeshed with the left wing has caused a radical shift in my political leanings.

Oddly enough, my online reading suggests that many AGPs are very right-wing. You are correct in that the vocal activists and the movement itself is far left. Imagine far left strongly advocating retrogressive gender roles because they are good for trans people...

it's mostly leftists pushing for this legalization and leftist politicians catering to them. Trump actually took sides with women and biology. The only ones allowing for women to even speak outloud about this are from the right and it's the leftists in the crowd there to greet them with violence. The LGBT comes first with leftist politicians. All minority movements online have this rule that if you disagree with transactivism they will kick you out...even if it's about ethnic minorities.

With anti-abortion laws, for example, or tweeting about "men must be on work, instead of washing dishes if his wife is sick", eliminating fair pay transparency protections, so women can't demand same pay as men in same office doing same work anymore, or cut UNFPA and international women health fundings, defunding teen pregnancy program and cutting funding for domestic violence hotlines and VAWA? And on and on.

So even if he is doing something against TRA, he is doing a lot against women as well.

And again, all this TRA boom is happening right now, during Trump presidency, so his actions against them aren't as effective as actions against women.

I often think entities (companies, wealthy extremists, etc) with a huge profit to gain are pushing this. They saw an easier route to push this via pouring money into left wing causes and political campaigns, since they in general were more “open minded” about human sexuality, combined with fatigue over right wing policy-makers. Once this trans thing is locked down legally, and women and children are open season to exploit sexually, medically, legally— they’ll go back to being the same right wingers they always were in every sense of the word. There will be a legally based caste system with men at the top, transwomen, then women marginalized to a permanent servant class. They’ll also lose all pretense about caring about minorities at all.
