Anyone trusting movie or game reviews anymore is a moron.

The amount of people playing this game on streams is insane. I have not seen that ever before. But to be fair I don't use twitch. I am going by what I see on tik tok.

But aside from it being a huge success, anyone with two braincells would go watch a stream and decide for themselves if it is worth getting.

I can't imagine it's really any better than God of War or Horizon, but it does look to be in that league. That plus the massive popularity of the franchise and you got yourself a hit. The screamers are really pissing into the wind on this one.

Reviews feel more like commercials to me half the time anyway. I'm not really interested in this game because I'm not interested in potter. If it did something new or unique I might be interested in it, like say it was a run your own wizard school business tycoon type game, that would appeal to me. Open world potter game doesn't. Played open world games countless times can't be bothered to play one based on a universe I simply don't care about.

I'm sure the game itself is fine though and fun for the potter fans out there.

Ethics? In games journalism?

Why 1/10 though? Why not -infinity/10, or dieTERFscum/10?

As someone who only started using reddit-type SM due to gamergate I have to say I think most of the problem could be solved by calling these guys reviewers rather than journalists. There is nothing these guys do which is in any way, shape or form journalism. It's all individual opinion and feelz plus a bit of gossip, which is fine for reviewers.

The writer's byline, yikes!

"Jaina Rodriguez Grey is a product writer and reviewer at WIRED covering coffee, sex tech, and gaming. Previously, she was a legal researcher for Thomson Reuters and a tech reporter for Digital Trends. She currently resides in Portland, Oregon with her partner and a pet rabbit named Lola."

We need a welfare check done on Lola.

Wired. Of course their ultra-woke agenda is to shit on anything even remotely associated with JK Rowling.
