Getting sick of Zomboid's shit

Been playing for a long time. 90% of the time I die, it still when fighting 1 or 2 zombies. The games controls and spatial physics are shit house.

I've tried to get into it a few times but never stuck with it for too long. On the other hand, I have a friend who plays regularly with some other people with mods so maybe that's the way to go.

Already tried mods. The game has fundamental flaws in the engine. its a good game with friends, even if at times it does stupid shit.
