I am not sure exactly where the line is. I am not a lawyer. I would assume that publicly implying that someone is a pedophile or something like that would be defamation.

When it comes to defamation, it's important for claim to be untrue or at least unproven. And while we can excuse it with foreign morality and people not fully understanding certain things ages ago, fact as it's recorded remains that he married child which was around 6 years old.
