They could do this every day and the only outcome would be that art museums would close, making society worse. This doesn't help make food more affordable or lower the carbon impact of farming. What an effort-free life these people must lead to think that things can be produced without effort. Effort either requires massive human input and very high cost or automation that uses energy. Wasting food doesn't solve this.

I don't agree with them, but I do agree with the climate activists who smeared cake on the Mona Lisa. The Louvre and other museums will obviously cope. A bit of Windex and some towels will get that soup off of the glass. Cost = $100, max. Meanwhile, look at how much attention this brings to the problems of climate change. As for more welfare money to feed the poor, I don't know enough about that problem to comment on it. It's likely a very worthy cause.

Everyone is aware of climate change. Stunts like this don't raise awareness, but they do make climate activists look like fools. Coke doesn't raise awareness for their product by dumping hundreds of gallons of Coke into the Mississippi River, they advertise.

But you're aware of it. It's relatively harmless and resulted in widespread news coverage. It's brilliant. Protests in the streets haven't been covered appropriately by news media, if at all. This was at least reported (though in this cause for a different cause).
