They should start by hosting their own social media platforms. Starting with a youtube clone. China already has one. I'm pretty sure that the Chinese youtube is being suppressed in the west. There aren't many search results from there, even though I'm sure the chinese government has plenty of English language vidoes on there.

lol, this has very little to do with freedom of speech and everything to do with $$$$ I think. The big social media corps are fat targets.

You are correct, but it will protect conservative voice online from mass censorship.

they simply dont have any English language content

That you can find. China knows the value of propaganda, that is why they shove their tentacles into places like Reddit. They would not let the opportunity to garner an English speaking following on their own websites go without at leas a little bit of effort. It's there, you just can't get to it.

I'd learn Polish if Poland launched their own social media alternatives.

There are polish language videos on Youtube. There is no reason why there couldn't be english language videos on Poltube.

Probably shouldn't post about the Holocaust in Poland.

Interesting thing about Poland, they never had a women's rights movement. Women are essentially their father or husbands property like 1950s America.

Actually, Poland gave women the right to vote before the US did, and they could even hold public office.

My friend was just living there. She couldn't buy anything besides a small bottle of vodka, only men can buy the big ones, and her doctors spoke to her husband rather than her. Our mutual friend is Slovakian, they have a similar disposition. Slavic machismo. It really is different than the US, suffrage aside.

Luckily for us, we no longer have to wonder why Poland keeps trying to ban pornography, has such a low divorce rate and has retained so much of its rich Religious tendencies (which isn't normally so much of a good thing, but it proves the point here nonetheless).

"Woman's Suffrage" was a meme the whole time. You all got duped. You were pitted against each other, made to blame one another, and the only thing that "suffered" was the mating pool. Most of the strong young men in the US are gone. The only way we were able to sway anything was via anonymous imageboards that all of the boomers couldn't be bothered to navigate. Even then, the vast majority of young men are addicted to pornography and cooming. Yet, naive children like you have the gall to complain that we didn't get the opportunity to avoid demoralization. Woe are we! How awful it must be not not hate your spouse!

Grow up. You got got. Get over it.

I have a feeling it just means there won't be any social websites based in Poland ever again. If you can't remove spam or off topic posts, your forum goes to shit pretty quick.

On one hand, you are absolutly correct for private business and for review bomb of product. But on the other. A website like SaidIt or 4chan could still be quite popular even with 0 moderation. The upvote system is a partial moderation in a way.

My favorite reddit subs were ones where either the mods are laid back (good luck) or absentee. I think downvoting works great for community self-regulation without the need for arbitrary rules or power trips.

The only downside is many people don't want to have to deal with seeing spam or off topic stuff and downvoting it, but I think that's a small price to pay for not dealing with reddit mods.

Eh I doubt it, honestly. If I made a s/RC_Helicopters and people just turned it into yet another politics sub, and there was nothing I could do about it...well, guess we're not talking about helicopters anymore. And then I would fuck off for a non-Polish site.

Trying to make up for that abortion ban I guess?

Although I have a feeling this will just result in spam all over their everything.

Do you really want this in the west? We know who owns our corporation. The corporations and the corporation are working together. They created this dialectic to bring about government regulation of the internet.

More countries need to do this. If they censor beyond the laws of the land they operate in then they need to be held responsible for all illegal content on their website. That will help stop these huge companies from constantly censoring wrongthink of the day.
