Perhaps, but reports of people seeking gender-confirming surgery (vaginoplasty) go back to the 2nd century, such as the Roman Emperor Elagabalus. The first modern gender-confirming surgery was performed in the 20th century

There have been perverted men throughout history.
The current trans movement and its belief system is a completely new phenomenon.

If you wanted to transition to a man, I wouldn't call that 'perverted'.
Ancient Greeks were OK with bisexual activities (though this is not strictly a trans issue). We're heavily influenced by religion and Freud.
Recent medical technologies have improved options for human transitioning to a different sex. Technology changed the history of gender alterations.

Their are 2 types of men who transition, straight men with a cross dressing fetish (autogynephilia) and gay men with internalised homophobia who think they will be able to get a straight boyfriend if they are a woman.
Autogynephilia is a paraphilia.
Paraphillia is a new term for the previous medical term, perversion.
Bisexuality has nothing at all to do with trans, 90% of transwomen are completely straight men.
No one can change sex. Every single cell in our body carries our sex. A boob job on a man doesn't make them a woman anymore than someone bleaching their hair would make them a natural blond, it's just cosmetic surgery.
The medical procedures we have are barbaric and suicide rates increase after surgery.

Bisexuality has nothing to do with transgenderism.
If you want to understand why the TQ has been grafted onto LGB, you have to follow the money.
Recent medical technologies have improved options for human transitioning to a different sex.
Human beings cannot change sex any more than Jocelyn Wildenstein has turned into a cat or Erik Sprague has changed into a lizard.
Elagabalus may, or may not have, wanted a sex change operation, but he sure as hell didn't get one. The Romans didn't perform vaginoplasty operations. They couldn't even do a caesarian without killing the mother.
The 20th century didn't perform "gender-confirming surgery". They performed sex-change operations, which is somewhat of a misnomer as human beings are not clownfish and we cannot change our sex.
