Better off, honestly. Unless you're going to an Ivy League school, you're likely pouring money down the drain so your kid can go to an adult daycare for four years. Not to mention saddling them with student loan debt right out of the gate.

You missed my point as it says "Elite colleges" in the headline. I'm saying that college, period, shouldn't be the only goal for students, and even if it were, you don't drop the standards just to let people in to satisfy diversity quotas. Unless you're going to an Ivy League college, which is dropping SATs as a deciding factor anyway. So the only schools demanding an SAT are NOT Ivy League schools.
