It's still good to make plans just in case things get so bad that moving is inevitable.
It's bad everywhere worldwide. Funny thing is, USA is (at the moment) probably one of the best places to be in, liberty-wise.

I agree. In terms of real freedom the USA is still the best (with some variations by state). Other countries have their appeals, but mostly due to things like friendly tax policies or less government oversight.
