Even if you aren't ready to move, it still makes sense to prepare an escape plan. Figure out where you would go if things suddenly become intolerable in America. Then you will be prepared to leave quickly when they start rounding people up to send them to the gulags.

Problem is that it's hard to find another country that even has a comparable standard of living that actually wants immigrants and the path to citizenship is obtainable for the average person.

Last time I looked Ireland only wanted $250 for citizenship, but that was years ago. For comparison, the US wants a million, Canada is half that.
