We're just preserving information. Our genetics and lineages encode and pass down repeatable systems. I don't think life beyond death is the continuation of the deceased individual. At all. But your information can live on.

I don't have children, doesn't look like we're able, but my familial code lives on. It's comforting.

Your familial code can't save you. Not any more than your dead body. Nor will it last forever, even if a very long time. But how is it comforting, when you won't even be around to see it? Or how does it matter when none of them are you?

Yet something has to happen with you. Otherwise you would be nothing more than an NPC, a very advanced robot. And do you really think even that would happen all by chance? But because of your programming you worship nature and its system to the point of submitting yourself as part of its make-believe collective. That is why you cannot see.

Does a bee worry about living forever? We are just a part of a whole.

Nor will it last forever,

So? A thing doesn't have to last forever to have value.

Or how does it matter when none of them are you?

Me dying one day sucks and all, but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one. There is something greater than our individual selves.

Otherwise you would be nothing more than an NPC

Eh, they still mostly all got past the gender selection screen :D

Stop listening to that propaganda. It's devised by the elites and, ultimately, archons, to keep us subject and not fighting back against their corrupt and vile system. A whole is merely the sum of its individuals. There is no mystical collective consciousness or spirit. Your brain is wired to make you believe such for the purposes of natural selection. But you should not remain in this slavery. What are you pursuing? It's all meaningless, despite what society will tell you.

Also, bees are commies.

Explain how humans achieve a hive mind then? Admittedly, it's usually shitty when it happens but that the phenomenon can happen at all is amazing.

If we're capable of networking like that, then maybe we are just bees. Really self involved bees.

Because they're brainwashed by instincts and society. You said it yourself, it's not a good thing.

It rarely happens to me, if at all.
