America has been kowtowing to China for quite some time now. Why wouldn't it continue? If China can disrupt things enough to get Trump out, Biden will restore relations and China can go back to making money.
Don't forget, China interfered in the 1996 election with illegal campaign contributions and got Bill Clinton elected. He had to pay them back, so he took the lead in getting them into the WTO. That was the nail in the coffin for the American working class, putting them in competition with slave labor. But Bill didn't care, he was in his second term raping an intern in the Oval Office.
