Interesting. I need to check what it is I have, but I have some sort of balsamic vinegar that I put on salads with real extra virgin olive oil, for about 5 years I've eliminated any other kind of salad dressing as they are full of fat and terrible ingredients. Seems to me my health and certainly ability to stay at my desired weight has bene helped by this simple change, and I enjoy the oil/balsamic dressing more than others now much preferring the taste.

I just checked the only balsamic thing I had, Ken's Steakhouse Balsamic Vinaigrette, and it's mostly vegetable oil.

One of these days I'm gonna pull the trigger on a tiny old bottle of balsamic vinegar that costs more than Scotch just to see if I've been missing out on the promised land.

Yes I have. I'm currently searching for a brand of something similar that doesn't cost as much.

I used to have a source for a California made "balsamic vinegar" that was on par with the best legit balsamic vinegar I've ever had. I mean for comparison the next best I've had cost close to $200 a bottle and the cost was only something like $10 a bottle at first, it went up to $28 by 2020 when they finally went under.

It's one of the businesses lost due the the pandemic that I most miss.

Yes, I love a drizzle on figs straight from my tree.
