Ehh. Sort of.

I'm here because reddit banned TumblrInAction which was one of the best communities on Reddit.

I have been banned from many subreddits though for stupid reasons.

I am banned from /r/pics for saying that Kanye has mental health issues and should be treated as such.

I was banned from /r/TwoXChromesomes for saying that a better strategy for the pro choice crowd would be to first get protections for first trimester abortions and abortions in case of rape so that if/when roe v wade is overturned they don't lose everything. With this they could gain momentum and fight for the more extreme viewpoints. They shouldn't have gone all or nothing.

I was banned from /r/UpliftingNews for saying that it doesn't make me feel uplifted to see someone's life destroyed just because they are on an opposite political side from me.

So in other words, you're a sane, logical, politically moderate person.

I'd like to think so.

My political compass has me at 0.63 left leaning and 5.03 liberal/libertarian.

On reddit this makes me an alt right nazi. On here, sure I am slightly to the left, but we bond over our mutual hatred of the modern left's insanity.

Also I am apparently transphobic because I believe in logic, truth and free speech. I'm cool with gender and sex being separate concepts, but the left and TRAs don't stick to their guns. A trans woman would still be a male and a trans man would still be a female, and regardless I should have the right to use whatever pronouns or words I want. Also transitioning is not medically beneficial, it doesn't save lives it increases suicide if anything. But apart from this, I don't think adults shouldn't be able to live as the opposite gender if they want and a respectful person should make a reasonable effort to honor their pronouns, but that's out of politeness not legal mandate.

Of the few trans people I've met in real life, I just only called them by names and avoided pronouns altogether rather than having to lie to my own eyes and ears and make-believe that this 6'2" linebacker in a wig is a "she/her." I actually like (respectful, mature, decent) women and I'm attracted to them, so I'm not going to put a "penis-owning individual" in that same category. To be honest though, I do the same thing to biological women who look male or trans, because "seeing is believing," for me. Someone can be 100% female and have ovaries and all, but if they have facial hair and shoulders like Terry Crews, I'm still not going to be pretend they're a woman, even if they literally are.

I actually have no problem tolerating people I don't agree with. Acceptance comes with time and long work though, but the left have spent the last ten years trying to force faux "acceptance" onto people using threats, intimidation, harassment, bullying, and cancel culture, which has not only caused far less tolerance for trans people nowadays, but for the "LGBT Community" as a whole, and even towards non-whites. They wanted to divide the world and it's working.

I always believe in treating people as individuals, and aside from a few groups, like sexual degenerates, pedos, rapists, abusers, whores, con artists, scammers, etc., I honestly don't care about people's demographics. All of the people I mentioned have horrible behavior. Some trans people, like Blaire White, can be cool enough to where I can tolerate them. But most I've met are batshit insane, narcissists, extremely immature, or entitled babies and aren't worthy of any respect whatsoever, let alone tolerance or acceptance.

That's why I used to be a traditional Liberal up until 2015. Nowadays, I'm neither liberal nor conservative and I don't think any truly intelligent person in the world is. Intelligence and open-mindedness means thinking for yourself and not joining a club with a bunch of rules that often contradict each other on both sides of the political aisle (Feminist but can't define what a woman is, believes in trans-genderism but not trans-race, "tolerant and inclusive" but extremely bigoted towards straight white males, Christian and all about "Jesus" but hates Jews and fags and laughs at the thought of people "burning in Hell for all eternity," "Pro-life" but not a vegan, owns guns for self-defense, and hunts for sport. Believes in "Freedom and Liberty" but wants government overreach to force vaccines on right-leaning people or unwanted parenthood on left-leaning people. And so on.)

Most people are hypocrites; that defies the Left or Right. I'm not a misogynist or a homophobe; I'm a misanthrope and I think most geniuses throughout history also were.

Can't use protections for rape because women will lie and falsely accuse a guy just so they can get an abortion.

[–]makesyoudownvote 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

That's how the more extreme pro-life people feel, because they are thinking critically, but the majority would easily support protections. I am merely talking about what a viable pro-choice strategy would be. You are likely pro-life and view abortion as murder. You are part of a rapidly growing minority that is growing because your strategies have been better the past few years.

[–]Jiminy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

I don't think any support that. And of course liberals won't support it as they want abortions at all times with no reason. This is why it's a black and white issue, either for it against

[–]makesyoudownvote 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Gallup polls disagree or at least did at the time. I included them in the post that got me banned. Almost 80% are neither pro-life nor pro-choice. They accept abortions in some circumstances but not all.

They are just less vocal.

[–]Jiminy 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Polls can be wrong. I think 90% of people at least are pro life but don't talk about it much. Plus people will likely come out as either or if they think about it and how it's not possible to do a law with half measures. Another is only allowing g it in first trimester. How can you tell when they was, woman might lie, or not even know, when she got pregnant.

[–]makesyoudownvote 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

We'll just have to agree to disagree about that 90%. The same polls almost always show twice as many pro-choice as pro-life people but as you said they may be wrong.

It is also medically possible to approximate what trimester a pregnancy is, there is no need for the woman/mother to state when she was pregnant, and therefore no risk of a lie making a big issue. There may be a week or two of gray area, but it's about as cut and dry as sex itself is.

The biggest issue imo is the beginning of the 2nd trimester. Amniocentesis is not possible until part way into the 2nd trimester. It's only after Amniocentesis that we know whether or not most serious health issues will affect the baby. However at this point fetuses have also been shown to experience empathy for their twins. This is where the debate should be taking place imo. This is where it REALLY gets messy.

Again though, we disagree and that's fine. I get the pro-life argument and think it's totally valid. I just happen to not share the opinion that an unborn fetus is equivalent to a whole human life. It's a difference of perspective.

If there's a week or two grey area, that's not cut and dry. And woke doctors will lie. So again it just has to be outlawed. I would be open to allowing it for some circumstances if we could be sure it won't be abused but it's not possible. I understand why pro choice people then just want it legal in all circumstances, up to date of birth, and not have to Show proof of anything, or gets doctors to give evidence.

The compromise though now is that states can make their own rules and that's best.
