That's a rat.

I think you are right. What tipped you off? Is it the tail, because it is hairless?

Long, thick, hairless tail. I used to live in NYC. I'm pretty familiar with rats 😂

I mean mice have a hairless tail too but it's the proportions.

Here's a good comparison picture

Mice just don't grow that big. Also, they're a bit less sleek in appearance.

It has a face that looks like a jew…so it’s a rat.

That rat is way too smart to go out that window. You're going to need a live trap if you don't want to hurt it.

It's a rat. Even if you you it outside it'll keep trying to get back in. It only needs a quarter inch wide hole to squeeze through. I recommend if you want to live trap it, driving it to the next county to release it. Not even kidding.

This guy has a lot of good advice to tap mice and rats in various ways: https://youtu.be/pHwvVPT202Y?si=777HZJ4Bcl_DXcvl

Yes, I actually had the same idea, except I was going to drive just a mile away. I used to have a live trap, but I can't find it.

stick a piece of cardboard out of the window, with some the food on the end, like a diving board. anyway thanks for sharing, i love your off beat content.

I've been having the same idea! I mean the exact same idea, with cardboard and a piece of food at the end.... I considered putting a bucket underneath to catch the rat, but might not go that far.

Rats, mice, and moles are important primary hosts, but other mammals including dogs, deer, rabbits, hedgehogs, cows, sheep, swine, raccoons, opossums, and skunks can also carry the disease.

That disease makes people look crazy, doesn't it?
