There are 3 users here now, so not active at all. I have never seen more than 5 users at a time in a thread.

Saidit needs to take a page from reddit and deploy bots to create the illusion of active users to build their base. It works. As a single user I can only do so much. People come here and see a wasteland and leave.

Yea is true. Like saidit DEFINITELY has potential compared to other sites that try to mimic reddit. Stuff like mastodon doesn't feel the same.

Not really, the people who run this cite are itching to start censoring. They don’t have enough users yet.

We already have chippy, he's enough.

It has a lot of work to do. But to be fair, even when it comes to reddit, despite the huge amount of users I rarely see conversation in the original conspiracy sub. Sure you may get a few comments here and there but even if my posts get attention and are liked I rarely interact with others there.

It's a funny contrast when you think about how that sub used to be years ago, you did interacted with people way more often. I suppose it is the work of the shills, with active users being targetted. There were active communities with different goals in that sub but I suppose their witch hunt was effective. We can't let the same thing happen here regardless of how hard things get.

It also brings the issue that It's not enough to have a lot of users, but people also have to try to create organic communities and guilds.

I think that pyramid of debate thing early on scared off most normies

[–]NuclearBadger 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

No, most normies need validation, so when they can't go back to work and check for a reply later they freak out that nobody cares.

It's probably spurred on from text message services showing a "read" status.

Honestly if I had 10 people in life to chat to that's too many people but for some reason a site will get shit on for not having millions of users.

That's a pretty optimistic way of looking at it man. Yeah saidit might be dead but what kind of normal human talks to 20+ people at once anyway? Any site with at least 5 users on it is fucking NASA to me.

That's being done for us.
