Scientism.

The tenet that the only truths that exist are truths that are empirically proven is not even an empirically verifiable statement.

The idea that you are too stupid to understand science and must trust scientific experts in practice is a faith based system where you do not verify the data but submit to what authority says. Being skeptical and examining data is the essence of the scientific method.

Okay, that’s science worship, a religious world view even dumber than scientism. High status scientists are treated like saints or bishops.
