No downvotes is a dumb idea - you can do different things: maybe max downvote -10 karma Or 0 or 1 or whatever. But the amount of idiots who get equal views with great comments?

You are free to respond to the king clown and convince all the bystanders why he sucks, and the groups of clowns can do fuck all about it. Unlike on sites where they can mob up and downvote you so noone will see your post, on top of all those penalties you get from not having enough karma. You see some "stupidity", respond to it and explain why it's stupid. Even if the other side is participating in bad faith, there are still other people who you can help enlighten.
