The creators* and original community come from /r/conspiracy, iirc. People are right that there are a lot of righties that flee to here, but this site also picks up the ones that don't just want what's on voat or poal or /pol/.

There are at least a few "well I was liberal back when it wasn't crazy" people here too. The creators seem pretty liberal imo, fwiw.

Feel free to bring more left-leaning people in, I think it would be neat for us to all actually talk to each other as the site is designed to facilitate.

I'm not interested in bringing in more of anyone based on political ideology.

I just want less of it in the more general subs like videos

I guess you could make a general appeal to people to post those videos in /s/USpolitics. Or comment on such videos and pics with a polite request for next time. Or make a new sub for non-political videos and pics. Or block all the users who post stuff like that to those subs. Or just hide the posts you don't like as they come up.
