You aren't wrong. Daily bathing with soap and shampoo IS bad for your skin, and it is a scam by Big Chemical to get you to spend more money.

That being said, a shower with just water is good for you. Nothing wrong with rinsing the grime off of you, it won't hurt your natural bacteria. I will wash my hair when it gets too greasy, and will use soap on my armpits when they stink, but I keep the soaps and chemicals to a minimum for sure

Also not sure this is really NSFW...

How frequently is that?

My hair isn't that oily, I'm usually good with using shampoo every 3rd day or so, unless I do a lot of sweaty activity. Armpit soap usually daily, but not always. Those soaps and detergents strip the oils from your skin, but skin or hair that is too oily is not good either obviously. I imagine the optimal routine varies between individuals and their activity level

I have heard that if you don't lather up your entire body when you shower, you should still use soap on your pits, privates, and feet.

At least use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar.
