In california urban centers, DEI is mostly for four groups: 1) blacck Americans 2) hispanic americans 3) native Americans 4) lgbtq+ of any race or gender OCCASIONALLY women if it's a stem field with mostly men. Asians (east, South, southeast) are usually left out completely unless they are lgbtq+. I don't personally know a single Chinese american, hmong American (despite being broke as hell/rwfugee) , or Indian American that has benefited from DEI. Even most low interest rate loans have the above criteria. Does DEI benefit asians in ur state?

[–]Alaskan91 1 point 4 hours ago U should be extrneley proud of suing. Oftentimes in California ppl will hire Asians bc Asians are known to be passive. Now they will think twice. By suing u helped another Asian. That's important. Occasionally they will even hire an asian so the rest of the team can feel camaraderie against a common dislike. It's a tactic to build teamwork sadly. But mostly they hire Asians bc they know they can treat Asians poorly and get away with it. It's quite sad. I've never seen Asians band together like that. To experience the bad side of tribalism and never experience the good side really makes u analyze ur ethnicity to the core. And often when I tell other Asians their only response is you should have picked a technical job to avoid this. As if that helps. I have similar experiences. I'm going to message u.
