It's not exactly like your fantasy plotline...but it does feature the oppressed natives fighting back against the british in a vehemently anti colonial way. It was a bit cheesy here and there but overall it hammers the point without coming off as a cheap movie that survives off of having a nationalistic audience. In one scene, The indian freedom fighters face off with the brits and defeat them through a dance battle.

I recommend watching it in a crowded theater in the original language Telugu over the terrible Hindi dubbed version on Netflix. Netflix version still good but nothing like on the big screen, Telugu language and screaming crowed! Quite the experience. You won’t be disappointed.
