[–]deseq [score hidden] 2 hours ago I’ve worked with these designers before and they don’t view what they’re doing as white worshipping. They maintain that they are proud of their nationality, oftentimes extremely so. Race does not factor into the equation for them, or rather, they do not view whitewashing stuff through the same lens as you all do. The only way this will change is if white people immigrate to China or some other Asian country and compete fo jobs with the local population. That’s when there would be racial tensions and resentment. I’m not endorsing their view. But I recognize my western gaze as an asian American and the effect this has on the way we view things.
