It's actually more like this:

Innocent Reddit newbie: "I had no idea there was a subreddit called /r/AgainstHateSubreddits which is full of hateful obsessed far leftists who want to turn Reddit from a non-partisan forum into a far leftist insurrectionist forum. I am shocked to learn that such a subreddit even exists. Why on earth does Reddit allow a group of self-appointed vigilantes to dictate the public discourse on Reddit? Apparently there's this crazy guy called Bardfinn who thinks he's a chick and he goes around profiling conservative Redditors as "far right neonazis" in some secret blacklist database he maintains. It's crazy that Reddit is allowing this. I should let other people on Reddit know this is happening."

AHS/QAH/League of Extraordinary Trolls/Masstagger: "Everyone, move to the Discord channel at once so we can discuss our next brigade outside of Reddit's jurisdiction to cover up our malicious acts." (Once they're all on Discord:) "Let's add this Reddit newbie who figured us out to the Masstagger blacklist as a confirmed white supremacist neonazi and get them pre-emptively banned across entire sections of Reddit before they've even uttered a single word there. Let's downvote everything they've ever posted and falsely report all their posts to the moderators in order to floor their mod queues and hassle them with superfluous reports. Bardfinn has already sent his 30 page detailed CIA dossier from his secret blacklist database to the Reddit admins to get this clueless newbie banned forever."

Also Reddit newbie: Has a 3-6 months old account with 4 pro-GOP comments in /r/politics and /r/conservative, has perhaps spontaneously called someone a "faggot" in the midst of a heated debate in /r/politics that ended up getting locked by the moderators anyway for generally turning into a huge flamewar with everyone chiming in swearing and cussing at one another over Urgent but Divisive Political Topic Of The Day XYZ or Bombshell Political Leaked Documents PQR, and has upvoted maybe 15 posts in /r/pewdiepie or /r/drama that are genuinely funny and are only considered "hateful" by extremely easily triggered SJWs. Does not even know what the term "brigading" means, but has noticed that his karma count suddently went down after the above flamewar on /r/politics. He's not sure why this is happening but suspects someone or some group of people must be onto him because they are still sour about the thread getting locked.

Reddit Admins: "Oh, it's another 30+ report from Bardfinn. We don't actually have the time to read it but we better ban this new user immediately because Bardfinn actually knows Steve, and anyone that knows Steve personally gets the clientelist approach here on Reddit. We wouldn't want to lose such a useful idiot doing for free what we would otherwise have to pay people to do for us. Oh no, Bardfinn is definitely not receiving any payment from us, and we definitely never asked him to create a secret database of Redditors being politically profiled behind their backs."

Not gonna lie, I wish the DoJ would criminally indict Reddit too and interrogate them about Bardfinn's secret wrongthinker blacklist database and his admitted personal ties to Steve Huffman.
