My bad, I was trying to write a quick summary headline because it didn't give me one. Sorry! Not mandated but if you don't participate or make any begrudging comment, they'll go to HR.

Strategy for those who want to fly under the radar but be useful: Learn how to use the Freedom of Information Act/local alternatives to get helpful information. Get that info to those who speak out. by NZrad in GenderCritical

In NZ, you need to use your name (or a name) with an email because they scan and send the files to you. But you can use a pseudonym if you're concerned about your safety, and there's no ID check or anything. I would recommend using a pseudonym + pseudonymous email if you're not speaking out, just as a precaution - because you will want to share the info you get and usually that have a formal letter attached with your name on it.

For us, there are also websites like fyi.org.nz where people can make requests and they're answered publicly. I'm not sure if other countries have a similar thing... but making use of that kind of site means the info is immediately shared, reasonably searchable and you don't need to worry about someone 'from the other side' thinking you made it up :)

Also, lots of our Govt departments have a policy of 'proactive disclosure' in place now, so when the request is fulfilled they put it on their website with all personal details blanked out.

I've phoned them up and asked them what they think society's dominant gender roles are, in order to figure out just how many of us are gender diverse. I doubt they've considered anything useful like that.

If you could set up a library for radical feminists, what 10 books would you include? Imagine you had all the resources and support needed, and that you could access copies of any book you wanted to include. by NZrad in GenderCritical

I loved Pippi Longstocking when I was little! It'd be cool to include books for all ages
