I know 3 people that lived in Cali for 30+ years, who just left permanently. Cali has lost its mind

There are definitely different qualities of life available in California, depending on your location.

Even norcal out in the mountains is pretty messed up, from what I understand. San Francisco is worse, but the general decay still radiates outward

My off the cuff theory is that California was essentially populated by people who didn't fit into the stodgy east coast conservativism. So it started out with that flavor, which greatly intensified after that 'are you coming to San... Fran... cisco...?' song. The drugs and leftist craziness turned into more of a rebellious spirit gone bad, or rot, and a good chunk of the people spoiled.

Trump is an issue of its own, but there were more Trump voters in 2016 than the combined total of 27 other states. So it's not entirely freaks and weirdos - Just the majority.

The unfortunate part is as the leading edge of the US in several senses, California is somewhat of a bellwether for what's to come.

Like as marijuana growers and hippies? Or in which way do you mean?

Like even the conservative napa vally norcal area is too messed up to handle anymore.

Your theory might be right.

We wish they would stop moving here and bringing their lefty votes with them.

California's idea of Build Back Better
1. Legislate everything out of existence
2. Go bankrupt

Surprised Pikachu Face

That reminds me I need to lay in a supply of bacon.

As California goes, so goes the nation.

The problem is the size of the California market will make it hard to ignore for many producers. And two tiers of production would be a pain in the ass to manage.
