On a less conspiratorial note, it's hard to imagine an entire state suddenly being told their world is about to end in 20 minutes. I have no idea what I would actually do in that situation, but the people of Hawaii, for better or worse, certainly do now. I think it would have to be on most peoples short list of most profound life experiences.

If you don't have a bunker, then it's probably a good idea to look around for manhole/sewer openings.

It's not a great plan, but it beats hiding everywhere else.

Also bring a backpack, flashlight, bottled water, etc. You'll need to camp out there for a night or two until the extremely unstable isotopes decay; assuming the nuke story is true.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki look napalmed, IMHO. The bridges and brick structures are mostly intact.
