Cis has become a pejorative. You'll notice no one is saying "Die Trans Scum" (at least not until they started using Die Cis Scum). And no one is calling gay men and women as cis, they're calling them gay/lesbian. Cis is reserved for heterosexual people (the vast majority of people btw) and it's a slander from the trans folks.
