"Hey, I'mmm pretty feisty, man," Anna exclaimed, her eyes sparkling mischievously and a playful smirk dancing on her lips. With a flourish, she raised her hands in the air, conveying a sense of rebellious energy. Her shoulders shrugged casually, as if to say, "I'm a force to be reckoned with." Her words carried a hint of authority, but her tone held a touch of leniency. "I'll let you off with a warning for today," she declared, her voice laced with a mixture of amusement and indulgence. With Anna, you never quite knew what to expect, but one thing was for sure – her feistiness was captivating, and her ability to balance firmness with a hint of mercy made her all the more intriguing.

there was a female living with me, and she contributed most of it.. she had a rather serious problem with schizophrenia.. it was taxing to be with her, but she was one of the most kind and sweet people that i have ever known. she contributed to getting the boat and then had a schizo breakdown and flew the coop..

she literally hears voices that tell her things.. she got an incoming message from none other than "george bush" telling her that someone's life was in danger and she wanted to go and check the hospitals and to call 911. i persuaded her that we better leave that alone.

she also gets messages from another female that was a cheerleader from back in her high school days.. the cheerleader tells her that i have had threesomes with the cheerleader and the cheerleader's husband.. i tried to explain to her that i dont know anyone from her high school days, and so she called me a liar.

i just wrote to her and told her that she is welcome to come back.

i told her that she is welcome to live on the boat for the remainder of her life.

life is weird.

You took money from a schizophrenic? That's messed up.

do you think that she doesnt have a right to live and to spend her money?

i really tried to be nice to her and to help her.

she told me that she was terrified that she would spend the xmas holiday in jail or in a psych ward, and i made sure she got to go thru the holiday as a free person.

we did have a few very good times.

The vibrant tapestry of human languages is adorned with an array of dialects, each possessing its own unique charm and intricate nuances. Among these linguistic gems, African American Vernacular English (AAVE) stands out as a testament to the enduring power of cultural identity and linguistic innovation. In this discourse, we delve into the depths of AAVE, examining its historical roots, distinctive features, and profound impact on shaping cultural and linguistic diversity in the United States. A Historical Perspective: Tracing the Roots of AAVE The origins of AAVE can be traced back to the forced migration of Africans to the Americas during the transatlantic slave trade. Stripped of their native languages and cultural practices, enslaved Africans developed a new mode of communication that blended elements of their ancestral tongues with English. This linguistic fusion, shaped by the shared experiences of oppression and resilience, gave birth to AAVE. Distinctive Features: Deconstructing the Linguistic Landscape of AAVE AAVE is characterized by a constellation of distinctive features that set it apart from other dialects of English. Its lexicon is replete with words and phrases that have their roots in African languages, such as "bad" meaning "good" and "jive" meaning "to talk." The grammatical structure of AAVE also exhibits unique patterns, including the use of double negatives, the omission of copulas, and the habitual "be" construction. These features contribute to the distinct rhythm and flow of AAVE, creating a linguistic tapestry that is both expressive and evocative. Cultural Significance: AAVE as a Marker of Identity and Resistance AAVE is more than just a linguistic system; it is a powerful symbol of cultural identity and resistance. It serves as a marker of belonging to a vibrant community with a shared history and experiences. The use of AAVE in literature, music, and popular culture has played a pivotal role in shaping the cultural landscape of the United States. AAVE has also been employed as a tool of resistance against linguistic discrimination and as a means of asserting cultural pride. Sociopolitical Implications: Navigating Linguistic Bias and Discrimination Despite its rich cultural significance, AAVE has often been subjected to negative stereotypes and discrimination. Its speakers have been marginalized and stigmatized, facing linguistic bias in education, employment, and other social contexts. The devaluation of AAVE as a legitimate form of communication perpetuates social inequalities and undermines the linguistic diversity that makes our society vibrant. Recognizing and challenging these biases is crucial for fostering inclusivity and promoting linguistic justice. Conclusion: Celebrating Linguistic Diversity and Promoting Inclusive Communication African American Vernacular English stands as a testament to the resilience and creativity of the human spirit. Its historical roots, distinctive features, and profound cultural significance make it an integral part of the linguistic landscape of the United States. Embracing AAVE and other marginalized dialects as legitimate forms of communication is essential for promoting linguistic diversity and fostering a more inclusive society. By celebrating the rich tapestry of languages and dialects that make up our world, we can create a truly equitable and just linguistic landscape for all.

My first language was Level II basic on a TRS-80. You had the fancy computer.

Man, that recording is legitimately hilarious. I was standing there in the kitchen washing dishes with my earbuds in, laughing my ass off. You're wasting your talent on the bot army. You should be doing a comedy podcast instead.

do you have any thoughts on martinis? experts say that the ideal size is 4 ounces. As in, you go over, it's too difficult to maintain flavor, and underneath that is a trifling matter.

Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) is a mental health condition characterized by a pervasive pattern of disregard for the rights of others, deceitfulness, impulsivity, irritability, aggression, lack of remorse after harming others, and a lack of empathy. Individuals with ASPD may engage in behaviors that violate societal norms and often have a history of conduct problems since childhood. Diagnosis should be made by a qualified mental health professional based on a thorough evaluation of the person's history and behavior.

how much is your rent.

armaged[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun 3 months ago

probably less than most people pay for electricity.

i actually know places where i could rent a slip that is as cheap as $100.00 per month.

i am hoping to take a trip up the icw(intracoastal waterway)

cantelever 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun 3 months ago

a) is your boat actually in existence?

b) why do you choose the icw over going up the ms/oh?

c) are you trying to run away from the hurricane, what did you do in years past?

armaged[S] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun 3 months ago

a) yes, i spent time on it yesterday.. i will finish moving onto it tomorrow as soon as i get some paperwork nailed down.

b) i probably will never take the icw trip, but it is fun to think about.. i will probably stay right where i am at, and just live aboard it.

c) are you suggesting that i am running from some kind of legal problems? that sure aint the case, i am a very honest man and i have no problem walking into a police station and presenting my identification and speaking with officers.. in fact, there are cops that know who i am and they know my previous criminal history from about thirty years ago. i make zero effort to conceal this fact.

cantelever 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun 3 months ago

right but, it's, like, legal, to just sail up the river, no?

a) can you sail?

b) do you ever practice sailing?
