you were all good until you pretended that you could identify the primary influencing factor.

It is entirely possible that the SMALL IQ difference between virginia and west virgina is due to genetics. Just as it is entirely possible that all those genes that have been identified as related to mental function and that show distinct racial distribution differences lead to the MASSIVE IQ differences across racial groups.

or are you saying that skin color is a social construct? Because if genes work for skin, eye colour, height, immunity, bloodtype etc etc etc, then they work for mind, too.

I'm saying that if you take a white child and raise him in a ghetto then that child's probability of scoring poorly on an IQ test goes up.

The IQ test also has a significant Western bias and asks socioeconomic questions like:

Running is to a marathon, what sailing is to a ______.

And reading questions about hors d'oeuvres.

There's no way to reason through these type of questions. They have nothing to do with intelligence.

They are income/status indicators that you can only correctly answer if you've been culturally exposed.
