Man 1: Ok lads, we’re in the Free State tonight (the Orange Free State, a province of South Africa) visiting my best buddy Tobie. And with these farm attacks, the way the farmers roll now is that they’ve got a new type of “guard dog” or “watch dog” that they use at night here on the farm. And I promise you, there are no problems with farm attacks here. Hello lad, come here, come here.
So yes, a lion is naturally a very good alarm system to have on a farm. It’s sad but true, we’re not exaggerating or embellishing (the situation), people. Really friends, farms attacks are planned carefully here. They have no option but to let this lion loose on their farm at night. They do have a way of getting the lion back, into its camp. It’s tragic that our farmers have to go to such lengths because they feel unsafe. It’s heartbreaking and the farm attacks are just atrocious these days. Nevertheless, I’m grateful and it’s easy on the eye to see a lion so close to the house at night. You have to agree this the best watch dog you could have.
Man 2: Well it eats all the witnesses and all evidence you see.
Child: uncle. His paws are huge, uncle Tobie
2nd Child: I rode him like a horsey the other day
