Me too, but I'd also need to find discipline along the way to actually do it.
now is the proper time to start a garden
Indeed. Time to talk to my neighbours about it. I want to start small and portable. A 4x8' "sandbox"-like but deeper thing on wheels to shuttle around into the sun, etc. We had one in Oakland that worked great (too much sun though).
You could also make a potato box if you're considering sandbox-esque things.
That's kinda neat. Specific. Would be good on wheels too.
Similar to that, I would rather get some decent composting going. Low maintenance, with a barrel rolling thing.
We've been spoilt rotten with conveniance. I also plan to do something similiar but with livestock aswell.
i have poultry and it gives me all the protein i need, but i really like goats milk / cheese so maybe just a couple of dwarf ones and i will be all set. and maybe bees one day.

My favourites! Inspiration for my future farm
I have a friend moved back to NH.
Convinced him to move from chickens to ducks.
Never thought about it before. If you live in the right climate with enough functional soil, why wouldn't you grow some food to eat? Why don't more people do this?
